Our new home away from home. Well with much looking we have finally found our camper. We have had a couple over the last few years and we finally found the one we have been wanting. A fifth wheel. It is a 1988 Jayco that is 29 ft long. YEAHHHH. We are so excited and so looking forward to camping trips ahead this year and years to come. It has lots of space and the floor plans is just right for us. With only me and Earl and occassionally Ethan camping with us it is perfect for our family. The dogs can go with us and have plenty of room to play if the weather is not fit for us to go while camping. Lots of storage for the generator and our chairs......plus coolers. Plenty of space for those who we invite to spend the night with us in the wilds of North Georgia. WOOT WOOT.......

Well February has come in with fun at Blissdom in Nashville and now we have snow, snow, and more snow. Its so beautiful to see it falling and look down thru the woods and you can see forever it seems. The critters are enjoying it and so are we. We went sledding down a small hill and even tho it melted the next day it sure was fun. But we got up this morning to more snow flakes fallin but not much laid. But the weather man says more tonight and tomorrow so maybe it will lay once again and we will have some more fun in the snow.

On January 25, 2010 the newest member of the family arrived at 4:45 am. Christian Zane Barnhart made his debut in the wee hours of the morning. Weighing in at just 6lbs 6oz he is the most precious little bundle of joy. My baby brother, Sam, is a very proud papa, and Crystal is a very proud mama. And they should be, he is just perfect. From his perfectly round head to his tiny little feet. Zane, as he will called, is the baby brother to Tyler, Chase, Faith and Brayden.

I got a new horse yesterday. He is a 3 yr old palamino quarter horse. He is 14 hands tall and sweet as he can be. I can't wait til spring to see him all shed out. He looks like he is going to be golden with dapples. I am ready to hit the trails with this boy.......now I have a Golden Child....lol

I Wish we had more days with snow. I really enjoyed seeing it. I lived in Ohio as a kid and we had big snows. We would go sled riding and walk on the ice when the creeks froze over. We use to have a blast. We even went to school when we had snow......lol......I took some pics of the gang today so I thought I would post some.

As to what I could bring to the table, as a newbie to the blogging world I can bring insight as to what the beginner is looking for and where we can gain knowledge on blogging. The snow has finally arrived and even tho its coming down slowly I am still tickled. Everyone is bedded down for the night with warm beds, food and fresh warm water. Jethro being from Florida has never experienced snow before so he was tickled to go out and play in it. Here is a pic of the snow at my house so far. I will post more later.

All my critters love when I get them treats but when I came across Greenies they thought they had died and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. These special treats come in all sizes for dogs and cats. Saturday after Chistmas me and Amber took the babies to PetSmart. She got a new border collie puppy for her upcoming sweet 16th birthday. And of course I took Jethro and we trucked off to Kennesaw. The babies had a blast seeing all the stuff in the store and being admired by all the other pet lovers that ventured out to town with their furbabies. Jethro and Rudy got new name tags for their collars and a charm to go with them. Then they sacked out in the back seat of the tahoe and slept the whole way home.

All in a Weekends Work

This past weekend we finally manage to get the new mattress, box springs and 2 dressers delivered on Saturday morning. Woot Woot.....We are so excited about getting them. Merry Christmas to US. We did some winter cleaning while we were rearranging the room getting it ready for the new stuff. We finally got the floor tiles down and they look great. Its amazing at how much stuff you can accumulate in 21 yrs of being married and living in a single wide mobile home. So me and Earl did some winter cleaning and got rid of a bunch of stuff. Got the flooring down, the bed up, mattress and box springs in place. Manage to get the bed made and Earl just fell back on it and his response was "OMG......this is wonderful" which translates into "I did good"......lol

Made a late night run to the Walmart for a new feather pillow for me and then back home to jump in the middle of the bed.......Needless to say we slept so good. Best nights sleep we have had in years. And our backs felt wonderful. Which was the whole purpose of getting new mattresses. We went and did some Christmas shopping at Sackett's over in Jasper and picked up a few things then stopped at Bargin Barn on the way back. Finally got the horse shower curtain we had been wanting. It looks fantabulous.....lol........its slowly coming together. Still have a few other things on our list of things to do in the house to be done but we are slowly getting there. Hope ya enjoy the pics.

Today we had our office Christmas party and it was awesome. Dr Minor took all of us to the Japanese Steak House where we sat at this little bar and they fixed our food right in front of us. It was amazing to watch. The chef was such a character he had us laughing the whole time. I opted for steak and shrimp with a side of rice. It was the best rice I have ever had. I will definitely be going back there with Earl.

After we ate we all exchanged gifts and snapped a few pics. Dr Minor gave us all a Christmas bonus and I was very touched by mine since I am low girl on the totem pole. It really is like family working there. I wished I had went to work for them years ago. Hope you enjoy the pics.

You ever have one of those days that everything is just blah......well today was my day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and I am sure it will we have the Office Christmas Party tomorrow. WOOT WOOT......Dr Minor is taking us to a Japanese Resturant where of course we will eat and exchange gifts.......hehehehehe......

Earl goes back to the Dr tomorrow afternoon to see what his new bloodwork shows. Hopefully everything will check out alright.

Eventful Evening

Well last night turned out to be an eventul evening. It started when we got a call that our son had cut his leg at work. So we check him out, doctor his leg and come on home. After being back at home playing on the computer I decided I had to go to the store (for whatever reason in the pouring rain) and I came upon a girl that had flipped her vehicle. Thankfully she was ok and so once emergency personell arrived I was going to continue on to the country store. Being the FurMama I am I took Jethro with me so he could go for a drive with me on my jaunt to the store. Now keep in mind its cold, its dark, its pouring down rain and I have been on the side of the road being a good neighbor when I jump up in the seat and go to put it in drive AND THEN I catch a wiff of "OH NO DOGGY POO" (the last thing you want to smell in a closed up vehicle). Yes Jethro had done the deed in the Tahoe.

Not only did he do the deed in the Tahoe but in the DRIVER SEAT and not only did he do it in the Tahoe and in the driver seat but I SAT IN IT....I thought OMG this is not happening. But when I got out and looked OH YES IT DID happen.....I could not believe it. Normally Jethro is very good about stuff like that so I don't know if he just had the urge really bad or the sirens of the fire truck and ambulance scared it out of him............Trust me I have a whole new respect for SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF............because it happened to me.............

More Rain and Jethro

Well its still raining. Only now we got lightening going on so I am waiting for the thunder to come rolling in here. We have had so much rain poor Jethro thinks he needs to grow fins or webbed feet.....So being trapped in the house with Sissy and Sara (chihuahua and toy poodle) (the old girls) that don't play like they use to, has been quite boring. Having to entertain his self while daddy and brother play cards and mama is busy on the computer has been interesting to say the least. Left with his stuffed babies and chew bones has been very boring to him.

So with mama p0laying on the computer I have grabbed the camera to take some pics of Jethro being well..........Jethro......lol.......

Christmas Parade

Oh my gosh it was sooooooooooo cold but it was fun. Me, Earl, and Ethan along with some other family members and friends took part in the Christmas parade this year and we were bundled up like eskimos. It was 40 degrees but the wind chill was frigid. Kramer was decked out with his jingle bells and glittering hooves. We had our santa hats on and made our way thru town. By the time we got back to the saddle club I could not feel my toes. It was great to ride thru town and see all the faces of the kids waving and hollering MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of us. The floats were fabulous and the kids that took part in the parade were troopers with the temps as cold as it was. Me and Kramer jingle and jangled thru town. We had a blast.

We Got Snow

Well we got some snow even tho it was only a light dusting it was still snow. I was tickled. I love to look down thru the woods when we get any kind of snow because it seems like you can see forever. Its amazing how the snow just brightens things up. There was snow on Ft Mountain too. It was becuatiful. I hope we get a bunch more this winter.

We are getting ready for our annual Christmas parade here in the big town of Chatsworth Georgia tomorrow night. I am so excited. I always look forward to the Christmas parade because we ride our horses in it. Break out the insulated overalls and the heat packs. Those heat packs are the best thing since cold cereal. You can stuff them things anywhere you have an opening in your clothes. Last year I had them in my gloves, down my boots, and inside my shirt. So parts of me stayed warm however the rest of me proceeded to freeze.......lol. The horses are decked out with santa hats, glitter on their hooves, and jingle bells. The horses love it as much as we do. Plus on top of being excited about the Christmas parade we are expecting a dusting of snow. For our area thats like the tooth fairy coming to visit. It is few and far between. But this early in the winter to get snow of any kind is fabulous in my book. I will post pics of any snow we get and pics from the Christmas parade tomorrow night. But I thought you would enjoy seeing some pics from last years parade.

Sunny Days

We have had so much rain this past fall, at times I thought we were gonna have to build a ark and we live on a hill......lol......But thanks to the rain we had beautiful color this fall but it didn't last long enough. The rain came back in and beat the leaves off the trees. Some of the stubborn leaves held on but I wish we had more sunny days like in this pic I took on my way to Jyl's....it was beautiful. Nice mild temps and a gorgeous back drop.......

Where Do the All the Geese Go

I work part time at a Drs office and I usually go in around 12:30-1:00pm. Well as I got to work yesterday I heard the honking of alot of geese. So I look up and there is this huge V shape of all these geese. It was amazing at the formation they have. Now my question is Where do all the geese go? I mean if you think about it all kinds of bird fly south for the winter, but have you ever thought of where they all go. I use to live in Florida and have been there in the dead of winter and I don't remember being swarmed with all kinds of birds and geese. Doesn't make you wonder? So the next time you see a bunch of birds or geese heading south for the winter just stop and ask yourself where they are going...........

Sissy turns 12

Of course she can be yappy when she wants to be and she does not tolerate little kids anymore. I went over to a friends place the other day and I got to ride a big percheron horse. OMG.....it was awesome. It was like being in the clouds and riding a bulldozer. You definitely have to have a step stool to get on these boys or be very tall which I am not.....lol. But I could not have asked for a more gentler giant. His name is Blue and when I galloped him up the hill it was like the whole earth shook. The power this horse has is amazing. I am use to riding quarter horses so for me to get a chance to ride a gentle giant was just way too cool. The lady who owns him, Brittany Edgerton, shows at our local saddle club in the english classes with these giants and it is so graceful to watch her put them thru their moves. I was so grateful for her letting me take one of them for a test ride.

Jethro and Abby had a sleep over Saturday night. Actually me, Ginger and Jethro spent the night at jillybean01 's and we had a great time. Jethro, Ginger, Abby, Gabby and Roxie all had a wonderful time as they had their own Puppy Party...lol.......of course Jethro and Abby did most of the playing while Ginger, Roxie and Gabby were couch taters and watched them wear eachother out. We always have Thanksgiving at mama's the Sunday before or the Sunday after so we can all go to the in laws on Thanksgiving or do whatever we all do on Thanksgiving. So tonight was the night. We had a blast. Whenever me and my sisters and brother get together its like we are all teenagers again picking at eachother and having a blast. The meal was great with turkey, ham, taters, deviled eggs, corn, baked beans, tater salad, and oh my the desserts were unreal. Of course then we all acted goofy and just laughed and carried on all evening.

Last year on Thanksgiving me, Earl and Ethan went horseback riding at Chickamauga Battlefield in Chickamauga Ga But this year we are going to spend Thanksgiving Day with a good friend and her family. Oh yeah and Jethro and Ginger get to go and spend Thanksgiving with their buddies Abby, Roxie, and Gabby.

Ginger is one of my toy aussie girls. She is a red tri female who is 4 yrs old. She came from Blue Horizon Toy Aussies in Bradenton Florida. Michelle of Blue Horizon is a awesome person to work with. She puts some awesome Aussies on the ground and is a pure delight.

Ginger will be coming back into heat soon and we hope to have a New Years litter. Ginger is a bundle of energy and has springs in her back legs. This girl can dance and jump. She loves to ride and snuggle. Her and Jethro are running and playing chase thru the house. Don't get in the way unless you want ran over.....lol......watch for a upcoming litter.

Meet Dillards HHH Commanche aka Popcorn. Popcorn is my 8 yr old miniature horse who is 27 inches tall. He is my other baby boy. I have had Popcorn since he was 6 months old. I brought him home in the back of my Yukon from south Georgia. He is not only my baby boy but he visits special needs kids, terminally ill patients and nursing home patients. I have shown him halter classes and he has won multiply trophies and belt buckles.

For years he was my stud until this past spring when I had him gelded and retired him from breeding. He put pretty babies on the ground. Now he just stays around the house being doted upon by his mama.

New Bibles For Us

Me and Earl started going to church about 2 months ago and neither of us had a bible to carry with us. We borrowed our sons bible because all we had was a big family bible. Well Earls cousin and his wife bought me and Earl bibles and had our names put on them. It was the best present either of us had gotten. Earl is black with his name in gold and it has the tabs so the books are easy to find. And they know my favorite olor is hot pink so they got me a hot pink bible with my name on the front. It is awesome. It is translated so we can understand the verses......lol......I know sounds silly but that its true. They are really beautiful bibles.

Me and Jyl headed out to Underground Atlanta this morning. It was a neat experience for me because I had never been. There was all kinds of little shops down below but the most interesting thing I seen was a can good display. They all kinds of different displays made out of can goods. It was awesome the way they designed them and built them with tuna cans, kidney beans, green beans, corn and all different kinds of food products but mostly can goods. This one was my favorite The Coke Bottle.

We had a ball today at the Olympic Park. There were all kinds of folks out there enjoying the day and it was a beautiful day to be in the park. The kids and some adults were playing in the water fountain spouts that were going off, guys playing ball in the grass, girls practicing a dance routine and some folks with their furkids out for a walk. The ice skating rink was open and I really enjoyed watching the kids skate. The girls were just being girls laughing and giggling and it was contagious. You just felt yourself smiling and laughing right along with them. I wish I knew how to ice skate I would have loved to have been out there but my bones don't heal like they use to and I would have hated to have Jyl call Earl and say "She's down"...........lol.........we had a great day.

Weekending in Atlanta

I am spending the weekend in Atlanta with a really close friend, Jyl. I was invited to come down for a mom's weekend out with Country Inns and Suites Refresh and Retreat Promotion. OMG........this place is amazing. The suites are so nice and the people are so friendly. We have had nothing but smiles since we arrived yesterday evening. Last night we took the hotel shuttle to the Cumberland Mall and to my surprise they had valet parking at the mall. AT THE MALL....I could not believe it. How cool is that? Can you tell the country girl don't get to the big city much. It was the neatest thing. We had supper at the food court then returned to our lavish suite for a quiet evening with Monk and no laundry........hehehehe

Critters, Fleas and Me

Well all the critters got their bath and needless to say I am just as soaked as they were. Sissy (12 yr old chihuahua) does awesome she just stands there in the sink and gets it done. Sara (8 yr old toy poodle) absolutely hates it, she had a bad experience as a puppy at a groomer and it has scarred her for life. She is terrified of getting a bath. So its always a challenege to get her done. But I did it and I got just as wet as she did.

Jethro (6 mo old toy aussie) did great. Even tho I let him soak while I worked the Neem shampoo in really good. I love the pet shampoos with neem citrus in them, it really gets them fleas. This year has been horendus for fleas in our area. And the closer to the ground the dogs are the more they seem to really like them. My friend, Jillybean, found a flea remedy on line with lemons and water. Boil one lemon to one pint of water bring to a boil let cool and put in a spray bottle. Well let me tell ya on top of normal flea treatments it works great. The dogs aren't digging at their sides and chewing here and there. It seems to get rid of the fleas as well as soothe their skin. Needless to say I will be adding this to the flea treatments for my babies.

OMG.......what an amazing day. Me and mama had the best day ever. She was so excited. It was amazing watching her face light up as Reva, Josh, Jeffery, Natalia, Bill, Shane, Diana, Johnathon, Phillip and Frank walk in. Of course I was just as excited. We sat in the back of the ball room and they did a question and answer session along with selecting some audience members to act out episodes from the show with the various actors. Of course my hand went up but I didn't get picked but I was acknowledged by Frank. HEHEHEHE........

Then it was time for autograph session. Each person that came in was allowed to select a colored ticket then each cast member selected a ticket. If your color matched that was the person you got to get a autograph and picture with. Everyone got to get two autographs from two cast members. Me and mama chose two different color tickets so we could cover more ground so to speak. I got to meet Johnathon and Bill and mama got to meet Reva and Phillip. I really wanted to meet Reva but I was thrilled with who I got and I was so thrilled for mama because of all the cast members she was one of her favorites. This was one of the best Christmas presents I have ever gotten mama. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Me and my mom are going on a exciting day out to Atlanta. I bought my mom tickets to go spend the afternoon with some of the cast from Guilding Light. As some of you know they took Guilding Light off the air much to our dismay. I sure do miss that show. But mama and me will be able to see and meet some of the cast I grew up with. I am so excited to be going. I will post pics to show ya'll what fun we had.

All I can say is WOW. If you love tarts and tart warmers this is the place to go. Its a local business located in Chatsworth at the foot of Ft Mountain. They have a vast array of scents for every occassion. I love their cinnamon scents and Creme Brulee.......they smell so good and leave your home smelling so good. Its time for me to stock up for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

They have two tanning beds for those interested in keeping that summer tan going. I for one always feel better when I got a good tan going. Nothings better then going in for a "power nap" and jump starting your afternoon laying in a warm bed on these cool fall/winter days. What a beautiul day!!!!!! And the critters are surely enjoying it. Turned the chickens out to scratch around and they loved it. The minis are snoozing, the cats are napping in the sunshine and Jethro (toy aussie) is bouncing around trying to get Sara (toy poodle)to play with him. Murray County Saddle Club

Well we had a saddle club meeting tonight. I am a member of the Murray County Saddle Club here in Chatsworth. It is a pretty awesome place. Our saddle club sits on 40 acres with a huge covered arena. We have 6 barns which can stall right at 300 horses, we also have close to 100 campsites with water hookups and power. We have a concession stand, dance hall, two bathrooms, a bath house, and a practice arena. We rent out the facilty for an aray of activities. We also have monthly fun shows and open shows 7 months out of the year with our biggest being a 10 day Wagon Train in July. Its filled with nightly horse shows. Tonight we discussed our Christmas party coming up and the Ranch Horse Show. We reviewed our tenative schedule for next year and it looks to be a exciting year. You should all come out and join us.

Hello Welcome to the Tiny Mite Review Team Blog. My name is Susan and I live in Northwest Georgia. I am a mom of two wonderful young men(Jesse and Ethan) and wife to a amazing husband(Earl). I raise Toy Australian Shepherds( Zeb, Emma, Ginger, Elliott and Jethro) and have 2 miniature horses( Popcorn and Lily Bug), a miniature donkey(Fred) and a miniature mule(Amos). That is just the beginning of my critters....lol....we also have a pygmy goat(Mary Rose), 2 turkeys(TomTom and PenPen), a bunch of fat chickens(way to many to list names) and 8 cats(PeeDee, Mikayla, Nanna, Punkin, Freeway, McGee, Simon, and Simone). I love to do rescue work. I work hand in hand with Chances Miniature Horse Rescue.
